Queen Samara, hey

The whole sequence where she dares Hercules to "break my neck like you break the stem of a flower" is incredibly kinky, and Hercules was a lucky man.

The other Hercules films I have seen - all via MST3K - also had a kinky undercurrent plus nine metric tonnes of hot women often being captured and tied up. And of course there was the 1980 Flash Gordon, which was a Hercules film in all but name, complete with Ornella Muti being lashed in skin-tight spandex.

And as Crow points out, the men wear shorter skirts than the women and also spend a lot of being being (a) tied up (b) oiled (c) falling asleep. What was it with Italy in the 1960s? Do they still make such films today, and if not, why not? Gladiator had plenty of fighting, but at no point did Russell Crowe rescue a chained woman or fight an evil queen. A bit disappointing all told.

Queen Samara was incredibly hot. Why did she ever imagine she had to drug him in the first place?

Queen Samara was Evil Hot. Can't imagine who'd play her if they were making this today.

Angelina Jolie or Scarlet Johannson.

I was thinking more of Eva Green or Helena Bonham-Carter (at a pinch) - they tend to play mysterious witches.
