My old copy recorded from TV in the 1980's is missing some scenes...

I remember seeing Randall, and his "gang", in the pawn-shop, sitting on the floor, tied up in ropes. It would appear that somebody roughed them up, judging by the cuts and scratches on their faces. Obviously, my copy is missing some scenes. Who beat them up, and tied them up with the rope?

Thank you in advance!

Sincerely, Steve B.

P.S. Any hope of this being released on DVD soon? If so,will the "long-lost" scenes of Sade being strangled, and Malcolm's return be restored?

reply

so Malcolm didn't actually kill himself.

reply

It's on DVD. Were you joking in the P.S.?

Some guady moth or butterfly, still alive, was safely pinned to the wall.

reply

No! I wasn't joking. So...it's on DVD. Were the missing scenes ever restored?

Sincerely, Steve B.

Those strangulation scene and malcolm's return are both missing on the dvd. There is a scene near the end where the pawn shop owner and his possee are taking away all of Cornelia's stuff. Anyway, the gang is sitting on the floor cowering and there's a man standing in front of them with brass knuckles and Randall has a bloody nose. I assume he tried to fight for the stuff, but it didn't work.

Thanks for the info. So, it was the pawn-shop owner, and/or friends of the pawn-shop owner, that "roughed-up/tied up" Randall and his gang?

reply

The pawn shop owner is pretty old. It was just his friends who are young and muscular.

reply

They're sitting in the garage of Olivia de Havilland's house, not the pawn shop.

Thanks for the info "geir-jardar. So the buff friends of the pawnshop owner came to Randall and his gang, rather than vice versa?
Cheers!

Sincerely,

Steve B.

As bad as James Caan's posse was, they finally met somebody even rougher than they were (the pawn shop gang).
