Can we all band together and ask for a Criterion Collection BLU-RAY release already?? I mean c'mon it is spine #90 and needs hi-def in the worst way! Lets all demand on Criterions website!

Get the Blu-Ray version by Eureka! Like the DVD version, it is the complete version of the film and does not cut out 'Yuki-onna' with the great Nakadai Tatsuya.

"Kwaidan" wasn't released on Blu-ray by The Masters of Cinema (only DVD). I have a feeling that a Blu-ray is on its way (they re-released "Onibaba" on Blu-ray). Keep writing to The Criterion Collection and The Masters of Cinema. Take care.

Three years later and it still hasn't been released on Blu-ray! What are they waiting for??? This is one of the most visually dazzling movies ever made and would do very well. Criterion should be ashamed about that AWFUL DVD they released years ago! That transfer is truly ATROCIOUS and it has over 20 minutes cut out! It's by FAR their worst release ever. We just have to keep writing....

They finally announced it today for October, along with Mulholland Drive.
