The Polly Bergen-Fred MacMurray film "Kisses For My President" had its exclusive premiere Southeastern enagement on November 2, 1964 at the Capri Theatre in Charlotte,North Carolina.

I remember seeing this again when I was in college during a special screening for the Griffith Film Theatre on the campus of Duke University during the mid-1980's.
