The Clu Gulager interview and the reading of The Killers chapter of Don Siegel's book were good extras...It would have been a coup to get Angie Dickinson to talk about the film too. Wonder if Criterion tried.

The relation between the two hit men and how they acted towards people, basically like subtle bullies who quickly burst into shocking violence, like Erica Bana did in Chopper, is a unique, three-dimensional one for crime movies. Marvin's technique, entering someone's personal space and quietly threatening him or her. almost whispering, before exploding is very chilling.
