Early MArty strongly influenced by Fellini.

The final scene in this is an obvious homage (if not a little of a blatant rip-off) of the ending of 8 1/2. Clearly, the inspiration served him well.

It was way too obvious, indeed. As well as the inspiration in the French New Wave, particularly Jules and Jim and Breathless.

Great shorth, nonetheless.

I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!

I really liked this film but found the ending to be a little too obvious, given Scorsese's talent on display.
