Any info on a DVD release?

Does anyone have any information concerning a region 1 DVD release? The Hammer psychological thrillers are fun!

reply

This film has just been issued as a "burned on demand" DVD-R from Warner Home Archive.

I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!

Woodyanders,

Thank you for that information! I'm not fond of the "burn on demand" DVD-R's, but it's better than nothing.

I just ordered 5 dvds from warner archive and all 5 were made really well with real printing on the cover of the dvd discs and all played flawlessly, also they were all in widescreen/original format and were clear, crisp in image. I would say you can feel totally confident in ordering this from warnerarchive.com

Yes, just watched the Warner Archives release and it's great. Nothing wrong with the quality of the DVD-R, the cover art is great, and the movie -- while not perfect -- totally belongs in my collection.

Without giving anything away ... if you liked (the far superior) "Mirage" with Gregory Peck, you'll find a lot to enjoy in this one.

Sometimes the Warner Archives DVD's are taken from the original negatives and not digitally restored. They usually look great except sometimes they might not look perfect at the beginning or ending of reels. This DVD however says that it HAS been digitally restored, so more than likely looks good.
