Coming to US Blu-ray on October 11, 2016

Twilight Time will release a Blu-ray of this popular sixties chiller on October 11, 2016. Available via direct mail order, or through SAE (Screen Archives Entertainment).

Not much about the release yet, wonder if it will have all the extras the dvd release has or will there be new extras or just a bare bones release.

reply

Knowing Twilight Time, there will almost certainly be an isolated music score track, and probably an audio commentary track of some kind (whether new or ported over). Anything else would be gravy.

The title, along with some other Twilight Time titles, has been delayed until Oct. 17th.

Most of the extras look like what were on both of the dvd releases of the movie so unless the picture quality is miles ahead of the last dvd release I wont bother upgrading.

reply

Not sure whether these were on the previous 2 dvd releases

Isolated Score Track / Audio Commentary with Film Historians David Del Valle and Steven Peros

but every other extra listed is on one disc or the other so unless the pic quality is miles ahead I doubt whether I will upgrade, cant wait to hear a review of the disc before I decide for sure.

The David del Valle audio commentary track is new. However, the isolated score was also featured on the second DVD release (which was in a Bette Davis box set).

Fox and Sony are restoring their vintage films in the new 4K high definition format, so hopefully the picture quality will be a significant upgrade over the much older DVD transfer. Until it's released, we won't know for sure. Hopefully it will be released this week, as promised.
