Courtroom scene
I know its only a movie and a comedy at that, and certainly liberties are taken. But, in the courtroom scene where Jack Lemmon was being his own lawyer, and he has his lawyer friend on the stand, seems kinda silly. What prosecutor or judge would allow a lawyer and his sworn-in witness to converse in whispers so that the jury, or anyone else, could not hear what they were discussing. I would reckon the prosecutor would scream out in objection as would the judge.
