So dated, you almost need a paleo-sociologist to explain whats going on


The idea of the bachelor in his "bachelor pad" with his little black book.

The women moved around like meat chesspieces.

The angry wives on the warpath.

The "easy" women are sluts. The women who are "keepers" are saintly.

Much sex implied, but absolutely nothing close to sex is shown in any way. And, anyway, the main characters always are tired of the galavanting; the whole point is getting the males to "settle"/"settle down".

It's funny/dated, but it gets oppressive/sad after a while. Did this resemble in any way the sexual reality of the (early) '60s?
