In Public Domain?

IMDB lists this movie as being in the public domain. Does anyone know if this is correct?

It was on IMDB under 'public-domain,' which features a zillion movies (including shorts) that are allegedly in the public domain. I notice that THE GORGON has vanished, which seems to indicate that it was yanked (for being false? or because the producers didn't WANT people to know that it's P.D?) Do you have any info, Bobquack?

I guess not. I did search there and did not find it listed. Maybe the owner of the rights came forward to state their identity. Or maybe someone bought the rights, but I'm not familiar with public domain properties and whether they can be bought or not.

To my knowledge none of Hammer's horror films are public domain.

Hi, Pharaoh--I suspect that you're right, although FOUR-SIDED TRIANGLE (not really a horror film) was advertised for years as being P.D. Of course, I know one list on IMDB that lists SHOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS as being PD (!!!) which shows you how these strange rumors get spread.
