Burke and Hare

The trivia for this movie correctly points out tha the name of the advertising firm, Burke and Hare, is an obvious reference to the murderous body-snatching team.

I wonder whether this is a carryover from the novel, written by Jack Finney, who also wrote a book about the invasion of another kind of bodysnatcher?
