Jack Lemmon at Columbia
I believe this was Jack Lemmon's final film at the Studio that raised him to great stardom Columbia. From the get go, Harry Cohn at Columbia wanted to change Lemmon's name, fearing some critic would say another Lemmon performance from Lemmon, etc...Jack Lemmon kept his name and proved to Harry Cohn that he was a great actor and star..working with stars such as Kim Novak, James Stewart,
Rita Hayworth, Doris Day, etc.
Ironically, Lemmon's two greatest hits while under contract to Columbia were on loan out to Warners for Mr. Roberts and to UA for Some Like It Hot where he began his great professional and personal relationship with Billy Wilder.
