Most plausible Bond film?

I know a lot of people enjoy the escapism and bombastic nature in a lot of Bond films, but to put it bluntly, I don't.
The 2 Bond films I dislike most are Moonraker and You only live twice, purely for their ridiculous storylines.

So...
Out of all the Bond series, which one do you think had the most plausible plot?

I think it's Goldfinger (hence writing on this forum).
A villain using mafia money to finance contamination on the gold stocks at Fort Knox is a fairly do-able/possible 'dastardly' plan.

I would have to agree with you.

I'm not a big Bond fanboy, but I enjoy the escapism element to some of them. I like action pics like the Bourne series more.

GOLDFINGER is by far my favorite Bond film, but it's not nearly as plausible as FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE, LICENCE TO KILL and (especially) CASINO ROYALE.

reply

I think the first 4 films were very plausible. I also thought that The Living Daylights was plausible. Convoluted, but plausible.

Kara, we're inside a Russian Army Base in the middle of Afghanistan.

most plausible are probably From Russia with Love, On her Majesties Secret Service, Dalton's two, and Casino Royale

reply

Good choices. I agree with all of them.
