Is this a Foreign Language Film??

It won an award for "Best Foreign Language Film."
I wanted to rent it on Neflix but not if it's all in Gaelic or something.
Can someone tell me??

Thanks!!

No, it's not a foreign language film. What film society/country awarded that? It was made in English and set in Ireland. I loved the novel by Edna O'Brien and also the film. It was very popular in the 1960s. RIP Lyn Redgrave.

It won a Golden Globe for "Best English-Language Foreign Film".

Well I couldn't understand half of what they said so had to stop watching it :(

You rank below all four of those service robots, even the one that's gone absolutely mad.

There are some American accents. Rita sounds American at times but I guess it is her particular Irish accent, with the hard r's.

The Golden Globes did something rather weird in 1964 even for them, they gave the "Best Foreign Film" award to three movies with no other nominees which suggests the choices may have been made by a small committee rather than all of the membership. "Girl With Green Eyes" apparently received it's trophy as "Best English-language Foreign Film" and the Sophia Loren hit "Marriage Italian Style" from Italy and the popular Topol vehicle "Sallah" from Israel each received theirs as "Best Foreign-language Foreign Film". "Girl With Green Eyes" is a pretty slight little film although the direction and acting are pretty good, but hard to imagine it as the year's best on any level.
