6.8? IMDb Members Have Overrated This One

Hard to believe the very slight, not particularly memorable GIRL WITH GREEN EYES currently receives a 6.8 from IMDb viewers, have seen many far better films with a lower rating. It's not bad and the acting and direction are quite good but it's not memorable, wafer thin plot, and none of the characters are particularly interesting. I think it's rating may be from the fact that the film is rather obscure today (despite being available on dvd in an excellent print) as of today has just ten reviews and just three or four threads. People who seek out rarer films tend to be more generous with their ratings, if this movie had a wider reputation and were aired on TCM for example I think it's rating would go down as it is a rather disappointing followup to Rita Tushingham's excellent, much more involving A TASTE OF HONEY.
