NASA cooperation

It really amazed me that moon landing craft in a 1964 film looked very much like thr LEM used in 1969! There are credits in the opening of the cooperation of National Aeronautics and Space Administration in Washington DC, so it makes me wonder if they let Harryhausen model off of early prototypes of the LEM. (The trapeze as opposed to a boring ladder was a bit of whimsy, though).
