MST3K?

Didn't they do this movie? It seems I remember them doing this movie. this is a good classic film. please, if anybody connected with the film industry today reads this and other posts, please consider using models, and the non CGI effects of movies like this. I like the matt paintings and the stop action stuff. I'm sorry to me it even looks more realistic than today's modern CGI, maybe not more realistic, but certainly more beautiful and interesting. I'd rather watch the original star wars for instance with the models than if they had made it with today's CGI effects. models look real. CGI looks like CGI no matter how good it is.

I tend to agree. Matte paintings, expertly crafted and manipulated miniatures and stop motion photography are, with few exceptions, more effectively create the illusion -- and they just made the ecperience more fun!

I think Joel, Mike and the crew stated that they wanted to do bigger budget movies, but that most of what they could afford were the low budget films.

And to be honest I'm kind of glad they didn't do this film, nor a few others that are prized memories.
