The Wizard of Oz Was A Flop A Well.

people always mention how this film lost a lot of money so as
to cast doubts as to how good the film might actually be. why
people do this i don't know. my point being simple. when The
Wizard of Oz opened the fall of 1939 is didn't ignite the box
office. MGM even tried ingenious ad campaigns to jumpstart the
film but zippo. in fact the film's books didn't enter the black
till it was sold to t.v. in 1954.
