This movie, while more a drama than a sci-fi, is well written, well acted, and has good characterizations all the way around. I enjoyed it under the influence of little more than coffee and nicotine.

I don't mind slow-moving mysteries like this. I agree that the story is padded-out but I still give it 5/10.
