Yup it was the better cut, i agree! this movie didn't deserved the MST3K treatment, i thought it was good and suspensful! that Hugo could take down Chucky anytime.

Well, the continental cut has this huge problem of never establishing why Vorelli makes Hugo kill the assistant. In the UK version, it's made clear that the assistant is threatening Vorelli with the police and that's why he chooses to get rid of her.

Plus, the UK cut reveals that Vorelli's beard is actually glued on
