American accent

The guy playing the son had an American accent that came and went like the wind. I check imdb, and of course he's from another country so that explains it. Now his mom is played by Angela Lansbury, another Brit, so perhaps that's the reason. But I would guess Lansbury's character, from Altoona, and dying to escape, was probably not intended to be from elsewhere and was just affecting a continental accent. That makes sense. The son with the wandering accent, not so much. And, hopefully, this will dispel the myth that all Brits are experts at American accents.
