Where was the father

I was a little upset about this too. In the beginning of the film, we see a body leaving the coffin. We figure it is the father who actually isn't dead. After Bruce leaves Letty in the vault alone, before she is killed, we see a hand from outside locking her in there. Then we see the masked figure rising from behind the coffin. He kills her. (Still don't know how she was locked in there from the outside if the killer was inside--I thought, was it Bruce?). I then started to suspect Seth, the caretaker, when Bruce and Vivian run into him before they dispose of Letty's corpse. I thought, either the father is really dead and Seth is posing as the father, or, that Seth is possibly working with the father (Though the latter, I have come to think, is because I had wanted to explain to myself how Letty was locked in the vault from outside when the killer was inside). I quickly replaced my suspicion of Seth to Philip after Bruce was murdered. Then at the end, it is never explained where the father's body is. We did the see the body in the coffin in the first shot of the movie. Who disposed of it? I guess we are to assume Philip did. The movie was fun, just a lot of little unexplained details that could have made it flow more smoothly.
