Wow, Roy Scheider's first movie!

There's no mistaking his profile. The man's nose has no bridge.

I got a chuckle out of him reaching for the bottle whenever things went wrong in this movie -- not unlike Chief Brody!

Scheider wrote a short article for MURDER INK, an anthology of articles and essays compiled by the famous NY bookstore. He said inevitably a friend would see this movie on Halloween and call him to ask how he could make such a film. Scheider said it was his first movie and he had fun playing the character. As one children's tv host said about Lee J. Cobb's appearance in the 12 chapter serial: "Even great actors have to start somewhere."

When I saw Phillip I thought he looked so familiar. I looked him up here and realized he was Captain Nathan Bridges from SeaQuest.

I could see it was him. Apparently he owed this first part due to Candace Hillygoss who is also in the film. She is more famous for her role in 'Carnival of Souls,' a favorite among low budget horror fans.
