I think this is the kind of movie that could work as a remake. Just borrow the plot, the characters and so forth and just make it good. And don't say it should never be remade because it's so bad, that's the kind of additude that leads to remakes of films like TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, PSYCHO, and FRIDAY THE 13TH.
