In this phase of me life I will not ever make it through this.

I do not abuse that much alcohol anymore. IS there anyone brave enough to see the non MST3K version all the way through without being forcibly detained in front of the TV screen? I love cheese but this was just beyond, I barely got through the MST3K treatment of it.

I doubt there's a bigger CT fan in the nation; and I got a real kick out of most MST3Ks...but, frankly, I believe they fell flat in spoofing this one. No sour grapes or anything childish like that on my part; and no overdone expectations. Just didn't strike me as one of their better offerings.

I agree! "The Creeping Terror" is such a gem, and I was looking foreward to the Myster Science Theater version, but, when I finally saw it, I was not impressed. So many missed opportunities.

My freind and I could proabaly make it through, but then we tend to do our own MST2K type dialogue through movies anyhow.

I have ADD and can make it thru alot of movies if I have friends with me. SO I probably could but as stated we'd probably do our own MST3K jokes throughout

I just did. Its a bloody rare thing to find (the non MST3K version)

Just bought 2 collections at TARGET $9 something each, SCI-FI INVASION and DRIVE IN CULT CLASSICS both of which contain CT. Watched the whole thing last night for the first times since the early 70s. How did this thing ever get released.

reply

I just watched it on FearNet. I vaguely remembered it from way back on Creature Double Feature, so decided to take a stab at viewing it. It was.... difficult to get through. I had to pause it a couple times to collect myself and work through the frustration of seeing so many people suddenly unable to grasp the concept of basic locomotion that would have saved them from being eaten by a hairy slug with a top speed of 2mph. Adding to that was the scene with the scientist, who was able to briefly get away from it, while mortally injured, on all fours, then beat it back by weakly flailing his wounded arms at it. And yet, a dozen or so fully healthy people weren't able to escape or even keep the thing's stubby pseudo-arms from pulling them in.

Its just...just....oh god, where's the booze?

reply

Sorry, I can't get through the movie either. And I have seen Manos, Giant Spider Invasion, Robot Monster, and Pumping Iron 2: the Women.
