New documentary on The Creeping Terror

Creeping Terror fans might like to know that Colorado-based director Pete Schuermann is currently working on a documentary about their favorite film. It's titled "Creep!" and is expected to be released in 2011.

Schuermann has already snagged interviews with film critic Michael Medved, Oscar-winning special effects expert Richard Edlund and much of the film's original cast and crew. This fall he'll begin shooting reenactments of some of the notorious behind-the-scenes activities of director Art J. Nelson, a con man, pimp and drug addict who was known to "audition" 13-year-old girls and completed the film only because he was threatened with jail time if he didn't.

Thanks I saw that trailer before, it's great but when does the actual film come out so we can see it?

Apparently it is a finished product, I assume, however it is such a niche market for such a subject, wide diestribution seems out of the question.

According to the web-site "...the target audiences of CREEP! will be movie buffs and b-movie fans. Comparable marketing strategies would be those used for Crumb, American Splendor, Ed Wood, Ghost World, and The Life and Death of Peter Sellers....Viable outlets for such a project include the film festival circuit, cable television, art house cinema runs, and eventual DVD and Blu-Ray distribution."

It would seem the producers' hope of a wide distribution is not very good. A four-wall deal in a major city may be their first option.

You might consider writing to them via their official site.

In the same vein as this, they already made a film about the making of Manos The Hands Of Fate. It's called Hotel Torgo and it's posted on YT in three 10 minute parts. It was very funny and interesting and very much sounds like this making of POS.
