2010 - still no DVD

I found a 2 cassette video set on VHS at a pawn shop. I guess I may try and make my own DVD even though it is recorded on LP speed.

As a circus lover, I'm tired of waiting for a commercial release.

I just bought a copy off Amazon, its an Asian import, but its a great transfer. Defaults to Korean subtitles but you can turn them off. Great sound and video, and it was only six bucks including shipping!

This is the only copy to buy: Circus World (Import NTSC All Regions)at Amazon. The others are garbage.

It's now out on Blu-ray disc in France. Very nice disc too. Well worth buying.

Thanks for the update, too bad I already bought it on DVD though:

I ended up buying a Region 4 Australia DVD import from amazon.uk.

Also previously purchased a Region 2 France DVD import double feature:
Circus World and 55 Days At Pecking.

IF YOU HAVE REGION FREE DVD PLAYER:
Official British Region 2 PAL DVD

IF YOU CAN PLAY VCD (Video CD):
There is a cheap priced NTSC VCD

If not, I recommend getting the two tape VHS set from ebay, amazon, etc...

There's also several Region 0 Korean or Porgutese DVD's.

I believe I saw where Circus World will be shown on TCM soon. This , I hope, means a DVD release in the future.

I had the chance of buying the VHS many years ago, but I didn't have the money.

The only time I have ever seen this on television was over 35 years ago and though I don't remember the movie, I can remember my situation very clearly. I watched it on a portable black and white that was propped on my parents' bed. Why? Because I was very ill with strep throat and I even remember I was scrapbooking (or was it homework?) at the time too.
