I never read the book. Just heard oof the movie today. As I was wastching it my mother mentioned she had read the book as a young girl and said it was good. I'm glad I stumbled upon it on Encore.

The book is great.
It's only boring if you're easily bored...which says more about the reader than the book.
Funny.. I get bored very easily and this was probably the only book in highschool that I actually read the entire thing and in order (front to back).. usually I flip back and forth and catch myself daydreaming, but I just found it so fascinating as a "walk a mile in another man's shoes" story.
Not sure if I want to see the movie though..
