Star Wars + Becket

I'm sure most everyone here has seen Episode III of "Star Wars." That said...

Did anyone else notice the similarities between Anakin and Obi-Won's final scene in Ep.III fighting in the lava river to Henry and Becket's last scene together by the sea? I definetly heard echoes of "Becket" during Obi-Won and Anakin's Fight Scene.

I realize asking this question makes me a huge geek & it may seem like I'm going out on a limb here (and maybe I am, I mean its been probably a good six years since I've seen "Becket"), but surely someone else noticed this besides me...right??

Yes, I think the similarities are former friends dragged apart by other loyalties and duties, feeling betrayal, and wrestling with their love/hate relationship.

While watching Becket, I was wishing that Lucas had taken more from films and plays about kings. Star Wars Ep. I-III touched on politics, but could have been more complicated.

I guess they wouldn't want to compare the Jedis to the Catholic church.
