This film has been recommended to me so many times (I work on the waterways) yet I only caught the last 5 minutes of it the one time it's been shown on TV. Why hasn't it been snapped up with all the other great British comedies from that era?

The film was re-released on video about four years ago, but as most people were waiting for a DVD it did not stay around for long. I found and purchased a VHS version in a canalside chandlers, but the proprietor told me that he could not get any more as the master copy had been destroyed in a warehouse fire. They do occasionally appear on e-bay.
