I'm trying to find out if this movie is the movie

That had a 40 minute bank robbery scene. Or was it another film? I think it was a french film that had scared the french government because of the detail of the robbery and how long it was and feared it would inspire impersonators. Does anyone know what film in talking about?

That's Rififi. Bande à Part is completely different, though also pretty good, so check it out later on.
