Best Scene?
The Madison was definatly the most entertaining, but I also liked the minute of silence.

The scene in the Madison is funny and i also loved the scene where they act out a shooting from Pat Garret. Hilarious.

I also agree with the Madison Dancing. I also like the scene when they have to cross the river by using the boat.
shareThe final shootout and the madison were my favorites

My favourite scene is definitely the dancing. I saw this film for the first time last night, and I have replayed that whole dancing scene at least four or five times. Very sexy.

I would have to argee with you. The dancing is very sexy but it also shows how care-free they are.

1) Minute of silence
2) Death scene with narration
3) 2 men reading about killing in newspapers. Notably, this scene was reputed to be a filler to stretch the movie's running time. I think it worked out well.
the minute of silence is pure genius!
the madison dance is great too...
I am entranced by the sequence wherein Anna Karina rides the subway. As she looks at the passengers with her wide, sad eyes, she sings (as voiceover)a poetic song that is melancholy and poignant. This for me is the best scene.
shareMinute of silence
sharei liked the opening scene in the car. the camera is looking at the two dude from behind. classic cinematography. plus the whole scene in the school, where the chick is talking to the main guys friend, and hes like flirting with her and stuff. classic. madison dance is great. pat garret is great. final bit is great. and karina has one hot ass. great film. i love french new wave! why arent there more filmmaker likes godard today?? and less filmmakers like crappy horror remake directors?
shareI've just got to say the scene where the trio dance the madison.
Coupled with the music, it may be the coolest scene of all time...I'm serious.
i agree... really great movie overall... godard made very stylistic films that influences many future filmmakers. cough *quentin* cough...
moops! moors! moops! moors!
I find it funny that silverkid reffered to everything in the movie as "classic" as Godard's purpose was to oppose classical norms.
sharewhen he shows the girl how a man he once knew walked
shareAlso, when he Franz tells Odile the joke about the lying indian.

Something can be classic without being classical. Many of Godard's films are now considered modern classics.
