Film about a murderous mob + the people who go on as if nothing happened

A savage mob just murdered a woman. Let's go learn to dance and feel the joy of living spontaneously!

I know what you mean, however this was based on a work of philosophy and was really an art film, not an episode of Law and Order.
With that said, it is disturbing that the guy who just have an affair of sorts with the murdered woman, seemed to forget about the whole thing. And not to mention he didn't even
try to help rescue her, but that's part of the philosophy: contemplating his character and its flaws vs. Zorba's.

For who would bear the whips and scorns of Hollywood... (;-p)

I'm not looking for Law & Order. I didn't expect someone to "solve" the crime and take them to trial or some stupid thing. I just don't care about a couple of psychopaths who aren't bothered by witnessing a brutal group murder. The movie lost me at that point. Maybe if I read the book I could enjoy it as pure philosophy and realize that the characters aren't meant to be taken seriously.

Not exactly. The message is that there are bad things that you can't prevent but that you can overcome by staying positive.
