I don't usually take any supposedly wise, pithy, witty, inspirational sayings from movies to heart but the "Life is Trouble" quote in Zorba hit home on so many levels. Right on the money. There is a similar quote in Mutiny on the Bounty (The Brando version) where Fletcher's girl says something like: "You must eat of life or life will eat you".
If you read the book you'll get much more hitting quotes. Seriously. It's like a manual.

I don't know how people can have such a dim view of life and still claim to enjoy it. I do not agree that 'life if trouble'. We may encounter problems in life but overall I think life is wonderful and beautiful. People are sometimes trouble but there too, it would be, in my opinion, just as inappropriate to say 'people are trouble.'
