ss women spoiler

It is 1720 on a Saturday and 663 Squadron is on tv in the UK.

This film always seemed to be on when I was growing up and I stopped watching years ago because it is not very good.
But tonight I saw a bit of it,the bit where the SS women tells the male SS guards to take the resistance fighter's clothes off.
She then leads the others in torturing him.

When you think about it this is an odd scene.
I don't recall ever reading that the Germans ever used women in this and it looks like something from a porn film (I imagine,of course I have never seen one myself).

If the scene is not historically accurate then it does fit in with the time the film was made, people were obsessed with nazi and Japanese wartime atrocities and books such as "THE SCOURGE OF THE SWASTIKA" and "THE KNIGHTS OF BUSHIDO"were best sellers.

Can anyone else think of similar examples of what might be called nazi exploitation scenes in mainstream films?

Have you ever heard of "Ilsa-She wolf of the SS"? I guess you could call it a semi-soft core Porn flick.

In fact I always have referred to the 'Frau' from 633 as 'Ilsa'...just because'...wasn't she wearing some sort of leather bustier get-up as well?

Yes I have heard about the more porn films like the one you mention but it was mainstream films I was thinking about I forgot the most recent example, the waitresses in INGLORIOUS BASTARDS,but then we know QT is just joking right?

reply

IB, I haven't seen any movies by QT since Pulp Fiction in '94;

I seriously doubt the real SS had women torturers, the Nazis were quite sexist.

Come on, OP, admit you have seen porno. Everyone has.

reply

There were women who were members of the SS (or affiliates) who were concentration camp guards who were very cruel to their captives. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_guards_in_Nazi_concentration_camps

633 Squadron is the gayest film ever made so a lesbian gestapo torturer isn't out of place. Notice the rivalry between the officers for Cliff Robertson's affections?

It is a really odd scene because she is the only German officer who has a genuine talking role and I agree the content and tone seem somewhat out of context with the rest of the film. Having said that, it is somewhat humorous that we see them beginning to tear off Bergman's clothes, but then obviously some sort of modesty requirements prevail, whereby they dress him in some sort of torture night shirt, which still allows them access to carry out their "unmentionable acts" off camera.🐭

She was a very odd cliche IMHO.

There`s a quite tasteless Italian film called "SS Love Experiment Camp" which I`ve never seen(honest!)banned for many years in the UK and now available.

I always thought dear George wanted to get it on with Cliff but he only had eyes for the lovely blond.

She's a beard, the men are all as gay as Xmas trees. Don Barrett sets off every gaydar in England when he turns up; it's the gayest film ever made. 
