Remade But I Forgot the Name
This movie was remade around 1990 with a different title. However, I've forgotten the title. Can anyone help?

shareBreaking Point, a TV movie from 1989.
FYI, the "movie connections" link on the main page for a movie provides info on whether a movie is a remake, has been remade, if there are other versions, if the movie is referenced in other movies, etc.

Just as a clarification, when I answered your question above, I wasn't endorsing the remake. In fact, I had never even heard of the remake, much less seen it. When I saw your question, I clicked the "movie connections" link to see the answer out of curiosity, and then answered your question just to point out that imdb.com usually contains the answer to that question for any movie.
In the late 70's, I saw "36 Hours" for the first time, and at that time I thought it was one of the best movies I had ever seen. Two days ago (almost 30 years later) I finally saw it again (on TCM in letterbox) and feel that it still holds up very well.
You didn't say why you were looking for the remake. My suggestion for anyone reading this is to look for the original first. It's still a very good movie, even though it's over 40 years old and in B&W, and it didn't need a remake. And since remakes (and TV movies) tend to be inferior quality, I suspect that the opinion of deanofrpps (above) is probably correct.

It was also remade as a television episode of the UNTOUCHABLES in the 90s with William Forsythe. Instead of D-day plans its the whereabouts of a former Capone accountant that is now under secret protective custody. This story has probably been remade in similar fashion on other shows.
shareYes I recall that ep of the show.
Side note sad the actor Paul Regina ... Frank Nitti died so young of liver cancer
