Plaiteu??????


I may have missed the reason for this in one of the episodes, but, if not, could someone please enlighten me as to the reason which Harold calls his father plaiteu. He does this on several occations and I'm not sure of the spelling, sorry. Theres probably a simple explanation, maybe slang for something or ryming slang?

I think you mean 'Pater'. It's the Latin word for father. Harold's usage is mock-pretentious/facetious.

It's Pater, but Harold didn't necessarily mean it sarcastically, it was sometimes used in Cockney parlance.
