In the episode where...

Grampa turns into a horse so Herman can be in a rodeo, there's a scene where he looks into a mirror & sees his reflection. Surprised no one thought that as a vampire, Grampa shouldn't have been able to see himself in a mirror!

reply

I hope someone got fired for that.

reply

Especially during the day.

reply

That also happened in the episode when Grandpa is caught in the sorority

reply

Grandpa wasn't a typical vampire. He was out and about during the day too.

reply

Yeah, technically he shouldn't have even been out in the daylight but part of the fun of the whole show was accepting all those little inconsistencies. For example, in one episode Herman is so heavy that when he sits in a golf cart all the tires immediately explode yet in another episode 2 police officers are able to pick him up and carry him up the dungeon stairs. In other episodes they talk about sleeping during the day then staying awake all night but somehow Herman manages to go to work every morning. It's just part of the fun of the show to accept it and move on.

Probably the biggest inconsistency ever was in the Fergosi Emerald episode. How in the world were they able to fly to Detroit without incident while Herman was wearing the emerald??

reply

If you watched closely, you would have noticed the 2 policemen carried a cardboard clone of Herman up the dungeon stairs. Herman himself was too heavy for the police to do it that easily
