Napolean Solo

Napolean Solo was also the name of one of the mobsters who appears in "Goldfinger." This CAN'T be a coincidence. Anyone know the story behind this obvious swipe of the name???

I don't think his first name was Napolean, but, yes, the "Gold Finger" character definitely shared the same last name as the tv show's lead character. James Bond author Ian Fleming contributed ideas when Norman Felton was developing the "Man From U.N.C.L.E." series (the name April Dancer also came from Fleming). Anyways, as Solo was not a major character in "Goldfinger", he probably didn't think it was a big deal if it was re-used for the series- or maybe it was Fleming's wink to his fans that he played a part in creating another fictional spy.
