Has anybody seen the Flipper movie that starred Chuck Connors?

It came out before the Flipper TV series, in 1963. Personally, I thought the movie was better. I haven't seen the other Flipper movies. Does Sandy have a mom in any of those movies?

There is a great DVD with BOTH movies at a reasonable price.There was a mother.Martha,in the first movie.She was cut from the TV series,probably for budgetary reasons.Both films are worth seeing if you are a fan.The first film is more serious than the second in tone.

Thanks for the info! What's the name of the second movie? We rented the first one from NetFlix, haven't seen another Flipper movie.

The second film was "Flipper's New Adventure".It has never been out seperately as a DVd,only as part of the two-sided Dvd with the first "Flipper".You would have to rent or buy it that way.

That's not true. Both films were released seperately a few years ago-I know because I have them. My guess is that those DVDS were discontinued by the studio and replaced with the single duel sided disc with both films.

TCM just played the original movie last night. Great movie, hadn't seen it in years.

I saw the movie at the then existing Pinehurst Drive In (in Billerica, Massachusetts).

He had a mom in the first movie.
