A scene that sums up the spirit of Flipper

It's rare, but sometimes a brief scene of a minute or so seems to contain the entire spirit of a series. Flipper is about two boys living young and free in a tropical paradise with a wonderful and amazing dolphin friend. It's an absolute idealization of a perfect life.
A moment occurs in Flipper's Bank Account (season one aired 1/2/65)that says it all. It occurs just after the local reporter and a coin appraiser talk in a local shop. It's a day or two later, and a typically sunny day. All is silent. The Ricks' cottage sits with trees behind, facing the lagoon, the boys' bicycles in the yard. Suddenly the blue screen door opens and Sandy and Bud emerge dressed only in cutoffs, towels in their hands, running full speed toward the water. They throw their towels down, say "Hi" to Flipper, dive in and start frolicking together.
A typical start of a typical day in Flipper's world. Could anything be better? It's my favorite moment in all of Flipper. Check it out!

Oh yes, these bathes directly in front of the house remember well.
Wasn't able to recall the exact scene you meant and re-watched the episode.
Note: They didn't need to lock their bicycles, even not in the town.

Flipper's Bank Account
TV Series (1964), Season 1, Episode 16
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM9-WHzJn3c
(about min 7.40 your scene with Sandy and Bud jumping into the water)

Grew up with Flipper and loved him...who didn't.
It was a shock, when articles told, Flipper was played by 5 different dolphins, who didn't have happy lives at all. In contrary, their trainer became an advocate against cetaceans in captivity after one of his Flipper-protΓ©gΓ©es died in his arms; or as he said "committed suicide".
His Oscar-winning Documentary The Cove (2009) is worth watching.

The spirit of Flipper is for me the theme melody.
Flipper diving, jumping and 'talking' made us run to the TV.

Man ruft nur Flipper, Flipper,
gleich wird er kommen.
Jeder kennt ihn,
den klugen Delphin....
πŸ’žπŸ¬πŸ’”

Nowadays and with these background infos, Flipper's melody leaves a stale taste.
Dolphin shows are past also...will never ever visit one again.

Actually, mine is more of real life, I was raised in Miami and spent many many days on the set at the Miami Seaquarium watching the filming and having the opportunity to swim with Flipper, of coarse under supervision. Those are memories I will never forget.

For sure "Flipper" enjoyed your company in prison.
With whom of the "Flippers" did you swim?
