A baby in this series

Can anyone remember if there was a baby in this series - between 1977 and 1981 as I knew a bloke who claimed he had been a child actor in Crossroads.
The only regular child I remember was a character called Jason Grice in the dying days of it's first incarnation. He wasn't a baby though, more a spoilt pre-teen. Could that be him?
shareJason Grice played by Simon Lowe was a school boy back in the 1980's and appeared in Crossroads around 1986 to 1988, so I don't believe it is him. :)
He is next in EastEnders this week coming, playing Derek Evans who is a social worker, and who has been in the soap a number of times before. Phil and Shirley are going to make it seem like Phil's daughter Louise is better off living with them both.
