I'd Rather Twitch than Fight

I watched this little gem last night and remembered how good it was.

Some of the funniest episodes are when Endora puts a spell on Darrin to teach him a lesson (the vanity spell, the shrinking spell, etc. ).

But the stories that really resonate focus on Sam and Darrin's marriage and their love for each other. Sam gets rid of Darrin's hounds tooth sport jacket and he goes ballistic. The first part is a case of "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing". The Tates have been going to a marriage counselor and they take it upon themselves to mend the rift in the Stephens marriage. They only make it worse.

Normal Fell is hilarious as a confused Sigmund Freud. "You think you are a vitch, but that's not your problem?" Concerning Darrin, "Is he a vitch too?"

When he sees the jacket that Sam retrieved from the secondhand store, Dr. Freud proclaims that Darrin just has "bad taste".

The scene with the fighting psychiatrists is funny. The always superb Parley Baer loves the jacket and proclaims it a classic. He thinks "Dr. Sigmund" is pretentious.

"I vas a psychiatrist before there VERE psychiatrists!"

The witchcraft is kept to a minimum in this episode. Sam zaps the jacket into its original color after the store dyed it and Endora conjures up Dr. Freud. But the heart of the episode is how much Sam and Darrin really love each other leading to a great final scene.

Anyone else like this episode?
