Another portion of my childhood pushed down to make way for "progress." I can remember it said that the Stephen's home was considered a symbol of America pushing outward from the city into the suburbs.

Yeah. It sucks. But nothing lasts forever. I would hope they move a few of the more iconic facades somewhere else. But it costs money and they are a business so I doubt it's an expenditure they would consider.

I'm just so happy I got to visit the ranch (a dream since childhood) over several occasions in the '90s.

Even then, much of it was gone - the New York street (converted to office buildings for Warner Bros.), the New Orleans street....and the biggest bummer: the church that stood across from the Bewitched facade.
