Deserves a reebot

I am picturing a movie with the same motion capture animation style the new Tintin movie had. It could mix adventure and mystery, and even some scary tones and themes.

I'd love to see that, who agrees?

if not, how else would you like to see Jonny Quest revived, maybe as a live-action film? or just another cartoon series?

Enough is enough! I have had it with these monkey fighting snakes on this Monday thru Friday plane!

It was announced like last week the 2015 Tom and Jerry direct to dvd movie is also a Jonny Quest crossover.

So it could see the launch of a new JQ direct to video series. This year has been the holy grail so far on WB finally using some of the old library. Let's see how they handle JQ as a crossover before thinking if can be a regular series.

A new tv show would probably have to be handled by Cartoon Network, which probably means it would only go as well as CN's other properties, which for my money means bad.

A new theatrical film live action or animated are also options. Apparently WB has an interest in animated ones for Scooby, Flintstones and Jetsons. Perhaps JQ isn't too far off their radar.

A few months after posting that, they did in fact announce plans for a live action Jonny Quest, plus animated Tom and Jerry. There is still some seriously haziness though whether the Scooby live action project replaced the Scooby animated project or if they are two wholly separate projects.

I'd love to see this come back, do you have any links to the new announced movie?

It's not full out yet. So there's not much.

The ANIMATED Scooby one was the first to be said to be in development. And thus it was the first one to get an actual release date and press bit.

So naturally assuming they didn't drop the plans (which is unlikely there looks to be 12 retro HB dvds this year plus more merchandise on wbshop), they'll probably all be officially announced in the same order the rumors came out.

I don't care one way or the other if they go through the effort, but I won't watch it.

The thought of a sanitized PC Jonny Quest would be too much for me to stomach at my age. I'll never forget me and my friends gathering around the TV back when JQ was first run. We had a color TV back then so it was almost always at our house.

Is very bad to steal Jobu's rum. Is very bad.

I just found the remake page: Jonny Quest (Optioned Property)

Newswire: Robert Rodriguez won’t direct his Jonny Quest movie, but at least it’s faithful to the cartoon

Robert Rodriguez seems no longer attached to helm that live action PG-13 Jonny Quest adaptation that he co-wrote with Terry Rossio (the Pirates Of The Caribbean series) and Dan Mazeau (Wrath Of The Titans). According to Forbes, Justin Lin (Star Trek Beyond), Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange), and Joe Cornish (Attack The Block) are all in the mix as potential replacements.

It’s unclear why Rodriguez is out as director, but he does like to shoot his films with a $300 budget over the course of 17 hours, so they sometimes come out feeling like straight-to-video knockoffs from the ’80s. And since Forbes’ Mark Hughes—who somehow got his hands on the script—is raving about what a strong adaptation this is and how it’s “a potential tentpole picture capable of spinning off a whole expanded universe of franchises,” you have to wonder if maybe Warner Bros. didn’t want ...
