How old are you?

I don't think there is a "How old are you?" thread for Jonny Quest but if there is lets start another one.

I'm 59 and my whole extended family enjoys the original Jonny Quest.

The "Invisible Monster" is just one of my favorites. How about you?

I'm also 45, so of course I wasn't around during the show's original run. I 'discovered' JQ in 1979, when NBC began re-airing it on Saturday mornings. Silly me...I thought it was a new series at the time, but it was an integral part of my Saturday morning schedule, along with Superfriends, Scooby-Doo, and Flash Gordon. I love many episodes; off the top of my head, it's difficult to pinpoint a specific one.

Saturday morning action-adventure cartoons of the 1960s were generally superior to their 1970s counterparts, because the later programs were restricted somewhat from depicting violence and often had a campier tone. I recommend purchasing the JQ DVD set, as I did years ago.

45 as well here. For some reason I was never able to catch the whole series on regular TV when I was a kid. I recently purchased the series on Amazon, and it was well worth the reasonable price. I miss the ole Saturday morning cartoons. Scooby Doo and Superfriends were on my card as well. I enjoyed the live shows like Isis, Space Academy, Ark II, and Shazaam. Those were the days! So many fond memories, and we didn't need 600 channels. :)

32. Been watching since I was a kid and my dad introduced me to the series. Been a while since I have seen them but I remember one with a giant one-eyed robot spider attacking a military base that was pretty cool. I was a G.I joe fan also…

I'm 43 (44 in two weeks!) and fondly remember this show being on in the early 80's, and will still occasionally try to catch it on TV.

I'm 57 and fondly remember this show on Saturday mornings from my youth.

I always remember that the episodes were very well done and imaginative.

For a "Saturday Morning Cartoon," the stories were quite sophisticated and
"adult."

The writers for this series should have won some sort of award. I can still
remember many of the plots.

There was even some hint of sensuality and dare I say, sex. In one episode
a female guest star, says suggestively, "I want to get to know the real
Ace Bannon."

39, been watching faithfully since I was a kid.

25. I used to watch the re-runs on Cartoon Network when it was still just a fledgling TV network.

If it's been fifteen years or more, it's no longer a spoiler.

25. Loved curse of Anubis! I used to watch this on Cartoon Network (along with the original Scooby-Doo). I believe it was also on TNT Toons!!

56 and I thought JQ was THE best cartoon EVER. I also quite liked Bullwinkle and friends. Still do! My fav JQ was the one with the walking eye robot. I thought it was real...like an alien. I was a LITTLE dissapointed to find out it was a lowly robot.
But CYBORG stuff was cool! In the process of downloading ALL early JQ only. I MIGHT do the later stuff.

27. Remember watching this on Cartoon Network after school. I've got a cat named Turu just so I can use an old man voice to say "Kill Turu, kill! My fiance thinks I'm nuts...

"1 percent?! They can kiss 1 percent of my ass!"

reply

53, remember seeing original airings at the age of 5.

reply

"Kill Turu, kill!

You actually made me LOL.

55. I purchased the box set from Amazon & people keep asking to borrow it. Grrrr. Favorite - so many to choose from but I always was intrigued by Dr Zin's "eye" robot. Invisible Monster, Turu, komodo dragons introduced kids to monsters both make believe & real as well as far away lands Music is fantastique in this series. I would love to experience a full orchestra playing the theme. Have to add "IIIIiIIiiiieeee - It is the Yeti - The Yeti!".
