Was there a scene where a building was shot with time lapse photography?

I read Roger Corman's memoir where he mentions shooting a building that was being constructed over a few weeks to have a special effect where Ray Milland looks through a building. I didn't see anything like that in the movie. Was this shot and then cut out?

I havn't seen the movie in years, but I remember seeing a scene like it. It looked just as if a building was x-rayed, with the steel frame showing. It's toward the end of the film when he's driving through town.

There was nothing time lapse about it, I think you misunderstood that detail.
