Carl Foreman and Columbia filmed this great war movie with two of the hottest stars around at the time, George Peppard and Albert Finney. Along with Michael Callan, George Hamilton, Elke Sommer and the great Melina Mecouri they made a great movie.

Don't quite know why Finney rated so highly in the credits. This was still early in his career and his part as an ornery Russian soldier at the very end of the film was pretty brief. Peter Fonda's part was also fairly short yet in recent years, his status in credit ranking has risen in various online posts.
