Deano's as good as the Ladies

Deano is just as good in this movie as Page and Hiller. He was such an under-rated actor. Forget he can sing or drink or tell a joke, and he is a good character actor in his later years.

Agree totally... I thought Page was a bit overdoing it myself. Deano was spot on.

I enjoyed Hiller's understated performance more than Page's, which seemed a bit shrill and spaz; but then, I think that's what Carrie was supposed to be. I was pleasantly surprised by Dean Martin's performance, having never seen him in anything. He played a charming, good-looking, unambitious ne'er-do-well pretty darn well.

Am I anywhere near the imaginary cliff?

I thought he was over-the-top as the ne'er-do-well brother.

You stupid, clumsy labouring boy.

Best moment; when he says: "Do you like me like this?!"

"Your mother puts license plates in your underwear? How do you sit?!"

I thought Dean Martin was good in this movie too. I heard he was widely criticized for his performance but I bought him as the character. I also liked the movie.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]
